Green montmorillonite
clay :
Very rich in magnesia
and trace elements.
Its properties are many : it is at the same time
detoxifying, remineralizing and absorbing. Its
use is recommended internally (clay water) as well
as externally (poultices, masks, adhesive plasters).
White clay (or kaolinite) :
Externally it can be
used in poultices, adhesive plasters or masks.
Less absorbing than green clay, it purifies and
cleanses dry and delicate skins. It is also excellent
as a mouthwash or for powdering baby’s behind.

Cattier clays

Clay
is found in more or less important deposits, most of
the time extracted in open quarries. It is selected,
analyzed then transported to a drying area where it
is exposed to the sun.
Pierre Cattier
clays are sun-dried montmorillonites which surpasses
its properties contrary to any other drying method.
1- ADSORBING
PROPERTY : It is
the most sought after function in the therapeutic field,
since it allows fixating and unloading active agents.
2-
ABSORBING PROPERTY : it
is clay's very important "pumping" function,
to retain liquids, gases or particles.
These properties are put to use
internally (gastric dressings) as well as externally
(masks, adhesive plasters).
